Michael J. Hoffman

CEO/ Vice President

Michael Hoffman formed Florida Bulb & Ballast, Inc. in 1990. With extensive knowledge of management, accounting, economics, business law and marketing, Michael was able to utilize his talents to quickly grow the business. Establishing a footprint from St. Augustine to Stuart, Florida, he delivers the latest lighting technology to his expansive clientele. Michael works diligently with his staff to implement cost-effective lighting solutions for every client, from city townships, counties, and state agencies to business organizations, hospitals, electrical houses, contractors and homeowners. He annually attends top industry conferences and frequently meets with peers from across the country to stay abreast of the latest lighting technology. Michael attended the University of Florida for three years before transferring to the University of Central Florida to graduate with a B.S. degree in Business Management and B.A. in Marketing.
Brenna M. Hoffman

President

Brenna came to Florida Bulb & Ballast in 1991 with over 10 years of experience in management, public relations, and customer service. She established the warehouse, shipping and delivery system, and developed managerial functions in purchasing and sales. She has spent many years marketing Florida Bulb & Ballast, including spearheading development of the company's website. Brenna currently manages FB&B's accounts receivable and customer service, as well as marketing and public relations. Brenna holds a B.S. degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Central Florida.
Brian Dibble

Director of Sales

Brian joined Florida Bulb & Ballast in 2018 after retiring from OSRAM SYLVANIA. Prior to coming on board, FB&B had the opportunity to work with Brian over the last 20 years in his roles as Central Florida Executive Sales Representative and later as National Account Manager with OSRAM SYLVANIA. He brings to our company 30+ years’ experience in the lighting industry and is Lighting Certified by NCQLP. Brian truly understands the challenges of our client's desire to save energy and reduce costs while providing the highest quality illumination for their businesses. Brian is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a B.S. in Marketing.

We Recycle!

Keeping our landfills and environment free of hazardous materials is one of our goals. Everyone should recycle light bulbs, ballast, and batteries to keep toxic materials like mercury and lead from endangering our land, water, and air. It’s our responsibility to care for our Earth.

Lights

Fluorescent and HID lamps (as well as some types of neon) contains mercury, phosphorus and various chemical compounds. These lamps are considered to be hazardous wastes. Most states ban these lamps from solid waste incineration or disposal. Please check local regulations for your area.

Ballast

Ballast containing PCB’s (polychlorinated biphenyls) cannot be conventionally disposed of in most states. About 25% of non-PCB ballast contains DEHP (di-2-ethyhexyl-phthalate) which is classified by the EPA as a hazardous substance. Ballast of this type should be processed at recycling facilities.

Batteries

Batteries that contain Mercury, Nickel Cadmium, Nickel Iron, Lead Acid, Hydride, Lithium Ion, Carbon Zinc, Silver Oxide, Zinc Carbon, and Mercuric Oxide, are not permitted in the solid waste disposal systems in most states. These batteries are processed at recycling facilities to meet state and federal regulations.
