The Situation
Percepta was a re-lamp project where Florida Bulb & Ballast, Inc. removed close to 1,300 old and outdated 4’ T8 fluorescent lamps and electronic ballast, and replaced with LED 4’T8 ByPass lamps to greatly improve the quality of lighting.
The Solution
Florida Bulb & Ballast worked with the Management team at Percepta to greatly improve the quality of lighting for the workers inside the facility. By removing the old fluorescent T8 lamps and ballast, the heat radiating from the fixtures was drastically reduced allowing the A/C system to function in a more efficient manner and decrease energy consumption. By replacing 32W T8 fluorescent lamps with 17W T8 LED ByPass lamps, Percepta will save $9.86 per lamp on yearly savings close to $12,818. The client was very excited to move away from energy consuming ballast and lamps and see a new, state-of-the-art product installed with a huge return on investment for years to come.
The Product
Florida Bulb & Ballast worked with Sylvania/LEDvance to supply Percepta with the latest technology in LED ByPass 4’ T8 lamps. The product used was Part #75026, non-dimming 4100K, 2200 lumen lamps that can insert into shunted or un-shunted sockets, using one live-end and one neutral for installation.

The cost reduction on this product speaks for itself, the payback in energy savings is great, and the consumption and output of energy meets and excels industry standards.
